Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri was an Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun as well as Beta Saajan. The actress was initially famous for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab, in which she co-starred along with veteran actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir on Dil. When she was a kid her Mumbai-born dancer started learning at an early stage. When she was in her early years when she first started to perform as an actor, the majority of films she created did not succeed. Her fame grew and she became one of India's leading movie actresses. After her marriage, she took a pause in her career. She returned later. In recent years, Dixit had a major role to play on Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated for the fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India, was bestowed upon Dixit. The award was also given to her for her work in the social sector.
