Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in France's Puy-de-Domme on 8 August 1976. She was eldest child of four. Her parents as a dentist as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for drama and theater at a young stage. Their support was enough to thwart her initial desire to become the first primatologist. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift rise in fame was a sign of her development as an actor. It was only in 1999, when she started acting professionally. After her studies, Tautou was a participant in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Although she studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has distanced herself from this upbringing, stating that she's not Catholic. Modeling and acting have been interspersed. Her image was the mainstay of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. Photography is another passion and she recently exhibited her work in the Arles festival under the name Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities as well as the fame. It also features portraits of herself and focus on journalists that have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic success after Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big part in the film Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie has been undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and praised at many award shows around the world. It is the most successful French language film in the US. The success of this movie brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, ranging from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
