My son played in a playpen while I worked 12-hour days, sanding the floor as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! It was all falling into place, however we were nowhere near done. My beautiful Nora arrived in the year 2013, which was our fourth child. While I was pleased about the direction my company went, I was feeling like I needed to take some time off. I got away from furniture that was vintage to enjoy the time I needed with my children. It was exactly what I was looking for. After a few minutes, my phone began getting busy. Numerous people reached me for help on home improvement and decorating. Many of the people calling me were people who had visited my home at one of the furniture open houses. Then I slowly took on clients at my own speed. Then I was able to have many clients and I was running an enterprise of renovations to homes. If you had told me that this business that I started would become an idea for a TV show that airs on the DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. It's hilarious to look back on it.
