Katherine Heigl shares how growing up as a child in a 'white bubble' has impacted the way that she raised her adoptive family of multiracial origins. In an interview with the "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed her body didn't matter to her, however, after speaking to her adopted sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was conscious of the differences their lives were. "I I asked my sister Meg whether she'd been treated one way when she was walking around with our parents, and another way when she went out alone without them. She replied "Oh I do, each and every time!" Heigl spoke to Parents about the moment she realised her ignorance. Heigl said she got upset and believed she needed to channel her anger towards helping her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son of 4 years with Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old who is Black from South Korea in 2012.
